Nejib Ayachi, the founder and President of the Maghreb Center, is a Development Consultant with several years of work experience in the areas of training for development, knowledge management (including indigenous knowledge for development), institutional development, good governance, decentralization, social development, private sector development and international trade relations.
Nejib Ayachi's regional experience is with North and Sub-Saharan Africa. Ayachi has taught in the department of political science/international relations of the George Washington University in Washington, DC, and at the State Department’s Foreign Service Institute where he lectured on Maghrebi issues. Nejib Ayachi holds a doctorate degree in political science from the University of the Sorbonne, in Paris, France.
